Q&A with the Stars of Return to Nuke 'Em High (Live On Screen)

The stars of Return to Nuke 'Em High (Volume 1) will be appearing live on-screen for a Q&A following the film's March 01st Hamilton Premiere at Fright Night Theatre

Stars Asta Paredes and Catherine Corcoran, who play Return to Nuke 'Em High's central lesbian heroes, will be joined by co-star Clay von Carlowitz for a live on-screen Q&A via the magic of Skype. In addition, cast member Brenda Rickert and prop department crew T.J. Smith and Matt Lord will be live in theatre to share stories about the making of Lloyd Kaufman's latest Tromatic masterpiece a reality.

Return to Nuke 'Em High follows a young couple that go up against the corrupt officials of Tromaville High and its school glee club. Unfortunately, the glee club has mutated into a murderous gang called The Cretins after ingesting cafeteria food produced on the site of the old Tromaville nuclear plant. When the other students begin to undergo mutations, our couple must solve the mystery and save Tromaville High School.

Advance tickets are still available but moving quickly. Order yours online or pick them up (cash only) from Hammer City Records (228 James St N Basement @ Rear Off Robert St, Hamilton, Ontario L8R 2L3)

CRETIN COSTUME CONTEST @ Fright Night Theatre!

In the original Troma classic Class of Nuke 'Em High and its sequel Return to Nuke 'Em High, Tromaville high school is overrun by a gang of mutated, radioactive post-apocalyptic punks called THE CRETINS

To celebrate the Hamilton Premiere of Return to Nuke 'Em High (Volume 1), we are holding a CRETIN COSTUME CONTEST!

Thanks to our amazing sponsors FANGORIA MAGAZINE & HAMMER CITY RECORDS, we'll be giving away fantastic prize packages to those who show up in the wildest and most imaginative Cretin costumes.

How to Dress Like a CRETIN

The Cretin aesthetic is a DIY mixture of punk, rockabilly, and rock-n-roll mixed with a Mad Max post-apocalyptic waste-lander style with the trappings of comic book gang uniformity ala The Warriors. Adorning themselves with tattoos, hair dye, and elaborate makeup, Cretins embrace an anything goes assault on fashion and good taste. Common cretin accessories include:
  • leather
  • chains / studs / spikes
  • piercings
  • weirdly misappropriated cultural icons
  • lots of wild face paint
  • mohawks and shaved heads
Use the following examples to inspire your own cretin costume, and grab your tickets to the Hamilton Premiere of RETURN TO NUKE 'EM HIGH (Vol. 1) for your chance to win some awesome prizes!
