WEREWOLF DOUBLE FEATURE - Support the Eastern Wolf!

Purchase tickets to LATE PHASES & WOLFCOP and help protect the Eastern Wolf!

In our shared mythology, the wolf is a monster. It haunts our popular culture as a symbol of the carnivorous wild that has terrified human kind since prehistoric times as much as it represents the inner beast within us all. Especially in the horror genre, the wolf has been long associated with evil, terror, blood lust, and horror. But the wolf is not the monster of our medieval imaginations. It is an important species that, sadly, is under threat by a truly dangerous species: humanity.

That is why Fright Night Theatre has pledged to use our March 21st double-bill of werewolf films LATE PHASES and WOLFCOP to help support the Eastern Wolf of Ontario and Canada. After costs, we will be donating 50% of all ticket sales to the Bring Back the Wild™ project which aims to support Eastern wolf research and education.

TICKET PURCHASE LOCATIONS

ONLINE (Visa or Mastercard)

HAMMER CITY RECORDS (cash-only): 228 James St N Basement @ Rear Off Robert St. Hamilton, Ontario

CRASH LANDING (cash-only): 1189 Cannon Street East. Hamilton, Ontario

Donated funds will be used to:
  • Support telemetry research by Dr. Brent Patterson of the Ministry of Natural Resources to learn more about this apex predator’s movement patterns, current distribution and habitat use in Algonquin Provincial Park
  • Help verify a possible second Ontario eastern wolf population in the Queen Elizabeth II Wildlands
Eastern wolves were once plentiful in the forests of eastern North America, but human development has squeezed their population into smaller and smaller numbers. As a species of Special Concern in Canada, the eastern wolf is threatened by habitat loss, forest degradation and hunting

By supporting research of the eastern wolf and its habitat needs, initiatives like Bring Back the Wold will help the eastern wolf survive and expand in the future.

ALL OUT FOR ANG Fundraiser at Fright Night Theatre a Success!

Thank you to all who came out last Saturday for the Fright Night Theatre Canadian Premieres of Radio Silence and Call Girl. Due to your generosity and the support of our awesome sponsors at Fangoria and Raven Banner Entertainment, we were able to raise an additional $50.00 in raffle proceeds for the All Out For Ang cancer fundraiser!

Presented by Ben Rispin, Crash Landing and Rebel Time Records, All Out for Ang was a charity punk show organized to raise funds for Angela Orchard, the drummer for The Rotten, in order to help her in her ongoing battle against cancer. Horror in the Hammer donated a prize pack for raffles at the event and also took the extra step to put together a second round of charity raffles at our Fright Night Theatre Canadian Premiere of the German horror/thriller Radio Silence that very night. For more on Ang's story and to make further contributions, visit http://www.dontstopbelieving.ca.

Thank you to all our loyal fans, generous attendees, and amazing sponsors for supporting us in not only our ongoing celebration of independent horror cinema but also in our efforts to give back to the local community and make a difference in people's lives.

Her friends in the local music community have put together an amazing fundraiser benefit show to raise money to help Angela with the cost of standard and usual medical treatments such as chemotherapy/radiation/etc as well as alternative treatment(s).
