SYNOPSIS
Tom (Shawn Roberts of the Resident Evil franchise), a down-on-his-luck wrestler filling in for his girlfriend on a babysitting job, gets more than he bargained for when a cult of masked intruders descends on the home. Things take a turn for the supernatural and Tom has to use all this bodyslam and suplex skills to survive and protect the people under his care from an ancient evil. Cranking up the action and the gore at every turn, Here for Blood is a high-energy horror-comedy-action splatter flick with plenty of guts (in all senses of the word) courtesy of Hamilton's own The Butcher Shop makeup FX studio. Produced in Southwestern Ontario and written by James Roberts, Here for Blood also stars Maya Misaljevic (The Boys), Tara Spencer-Nairn (Corner Gas), Michael Therriault (Chucky), and legendary rocker Dee Snider as the voice of a cackling undead head, not to mention several Canadian wrestlers like Marc-André Boulanger (aka Franky the Mobster) and Channing Decker.
While still holding the #1 spot on SCREAMBOX in the USA for over a month, Here For Blood is now packing cinemas across the US and Canada this Wrestlemania weekend for a special engagement screening that Starburst Magazine calls “an entertaining, splatter-filled romp”.
